DiamondCorp Says Underground Mining Operations Resumed At Lace Mine

26th Jul 2016 14:11

LONDON (Alliance News) - DiamondCorp PLC on Tuesday said that it has resumed underground mining operations at its Lace diamond mine in South Africa, after getting permission from the South Africa Department of Mineral Resources.

Last Monday, the company suspended operations at the mine following an incident that resulted in an employee being hospitalised.

At that time, DiamondCorp had said there would be no material financial impact from the suspension, although it would not be able to hit its targeted 30,000 tonnes or ore to be mined in July.

Shares in DiamondCorp were up 3.6% to 6.47 pence Tuesday following the afternoon announcement.
