LONDON (Alliance News) - Dialight PLC Monday said Non-Executive Director Richard Stuckes has been appointed interim chief executive while the company looks for a permanent CEO, after ill health forced Roy Burton to decide to step down from the role on March 2.
The LED lighting company had earlier this month that Burton was undergoing treatment for a medical condition which impacted his ability to travel. At that time, it said it didn't think the illness would impact is ability to perform his executive responsibilties.
On Monday, it said Burton will remain "available to provide counsel and assistance as required and to ensure an orderly handover of his responsibilities".
"It is a tremendous wrench to be stepping down, but at this time my priority must be to focus on my health. Richard and I have worked successfully together over the past six years and he has my full support as he takes on the interim chief executive role," Burton said in the statement.
