(Alliance News) - DFS Furniture PLC on Monday said Chair Ian Durant will retire at the conclusion of its November annual general meeting.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire-based soft furnishings retailer said Durant will leave on November 4 and he will be succeeded by Steve Johnson, who has been part of its board since December 2018.
Johnson is currently the chair of the Remuneration Committee.
"He has considerable retail experience having previously held several senior roles with major UK retailers, starting his career with Asda Stores Ltd and most recently Matalan Ltd," DFS noted.
DFS shares were were up 0.6% at 133.80 pence each on Monday morning in London.
