(Alliance News) - Career development platform developer Dev Clever Holdings PLC on Thursday said its performance for the second half of 2019 was hurt by its postponement of the UK roll-out date for Launchyourcareer.com and Victar VR.
VICTAR, standing for virtual interactive careers training & apprenticeship robot, is an interactive, virtual reality careers guidance experience designed to engage with school children. Launchpad/Launchyourcareer.com is Dev Clever's online careers platform.
The Tamworth-based company said the delay to the planned rollout in the UK came as a consequence of it entering into commercial negotiations partnering with a worldwide technology manufacturer, to enable the products to be mass-adopted as part of the undisclosed company's strategy for their VR education technology hardware.
However, Dev Clever said it expects the new strategy to result in an accelerated roll-out of its products worldwide, starting from the US in April 2020.
Dev Clever's annual results will be published on February 28.
The stock was trading 17% lower at 3.15 pence each at midday Thursday in London.
