(Alliance News) - Software firm Dev Clever Holdings PLC on Thursday said it signed an education technology contract with Chinese computer making giant Lenovo Group Ltd.
The agreement allows Dev Clever's Launchpad and VICTAR career guidance platforms to be pre-installed Lenovo Virtual Reality Classroom devices.
The devices will be sold to educational institutions in the UK to help deliver the "Gatsby Benchmarks", a series of eight career guidance standards outlined by the Careers & Enterprise Company, a firm backed by the Department of Education.
Dev Clever Chief Executive said: "This agreement underpins our strategy to offer our revolutionary careers guidance platform to educational institutions globally. It provides the company with access to the infrastructure, routes to market and support to rollout our solution at scale across the UK and other territories starting with North America next year.
"The agreement with Lenovo, who are the largest global manufacturer and provider of technology and innovation to the global education market, is a testament to the revolutionary innovation our platform brings to the sector and I am delighted to be partnering with a company which shares our excitement and commitment to global education."
Shares in Dev Clever 1.8% higher at 3.97 pence each in London on Thursday afternoon.
