Dev Clever Gets Approval For First Live Virtual Reality Experience

11th Apr 2019 11:42

LONDON (Alliance News) - Dev Clever Holdings PLC said Thursday its virtual reality framework has been approved to deploy Easter Squad VR on multiple platforms, including Google Play and the Apple Appstore.

Easter Squad VR is "a collaborative, seasonally themed experience where family or friends work together to defeat the Easter bunny's dastardly brother Bozo and save Easter". It is the first live interactive experience to emerge from Dev Clever's core virtual reality multi-user framework.

The Dev Clever core framework allows for the development of multiplayer virtual reality experiences and games. These can be accessed through any approved platform using a virtual reality headset and other virtual reality devices.

Looking ahead, the mobile developer will release many seasonally themes games around Halloween and Christmas this year. Players will pay per download and will be able to make in-app purchases to customise characters.

Moreover, Dev Clever will also offer its games as a premium retail gift when sold with virtual reality cardboard.

Dev Clever Chief Executive Chris Jeffries said: "This is the final framework to be released from Dev Clever. The core virtual reality framework allows the company to leverage greater opportunities through all three of our channels, by providing multiuser eLearning and training modules to our Educate customers and selling immersive multiplayer gaming experiences through our Engage hospitality, leisure, brand and retail customers. At the same time, the platform is able to deliver the launches of Vanguard: Flight or Rudiarius to the play-at-home VR market in the coming weeks."

Shares in Dev Clever were down 4.1% at 8.25 pence on Thursday.
