LONDON (Alliance News) - Property developer Derwent London PLC on Tuesday said it has secured four pre-lets for the White Chapel Building in Whitechapel in east London.
Derwent said the pre-lets total 84,600 square feet of space over four office spaces and will generate GBP4.0 million of rent. The names of the clients to have taken the space were not disclosed.
Derwent acquired the building in December 2015 and the pre-lets signed are all part of the phase 1 refurbishment programme is has undertaken.
"We are very pleased to introduce four new occupiers to our portfolio, three of which signed leases after the EU referendum. Their broad spread of activities and commitment is an endorsement of our strategy of creating a mid-market rental product in this significantly improved area on the eastern side of the City and the Tech Belt," said Derwent Chief Executive John Burns.
