(Alliance News) - Derwent London PLC on Tuesday said it has appointed the former vice chair of Global M&A at JPMorgan in London to its board, with the intention of making him company chair.
The property investment and development business, primarily operating in London, has appointed Mark Breuer to its board as an independent non-executive director, effective February 1.
Breuer retired in 2017 from a 20-year career at JPMorgan in London, where he has been vice chair of Global M&A and a member of the Global Strategic Advisory Council.
Provided share approval is granted, Breuer will be made non-executive chair of Derwent following the conclusion of the company's 2021 annual general meeting, where current chair John Burns will retire.
At present, Breuer serves on the board of Irish support services firm DCC PLC as senior independent director and is a non-executive director at biotech sector-focused investor Arix Bioscience PLC.
Shares in Derwent were up 0.3% at 3,116.00 pence in London on Tuesday morning.
