Deltex Medical Narrows Annual Loss On Cost Cuts Despite Revenue Drop

9th May 2018 11:43

LONDON (Alliance News) - Deltex Medical Group PLC said Wednesday its 2017 full-year pretax loss narrowed to GBP2.1 million from GBP2.5 million the year before, due to a GBP400,000 reduction in operating loss.

The haemodynamic monitoring technologies manufacturer put in place new manufacturing processes and reduced costs by bringing probe making in-house.

Results for the full-year ended December 31 saw a revenue decline of GBP400,000 to GBP5.9 million from GBP6.3 million in 2016. The company said the fall mainly was caused by a GBP500,000 decline in UK probe revenue.

The company said US revenue increased slightly, reaching GBP2.0 million from GBP1.9 million, while international revenue decreased by GBP100,000 to GBP1.9 million.

Also on Wednesday, Deltex announced the release of a new display software on its haemodynamic monitoring platform. The software, called TrueVue, is available in several languages and it can be purchased as a licence upgrade to consumers' monitor platforms.

Deltex shares were trading at 1.25 pence on Wednesday, down by 11%.
