LONDON (Alliance News) - Deltex Medical Group PLC on Wednesday said it has added a further client account in the US market.
Deltex makes oesophageal Doppler monitoring technology. The monitoring systems are used to measure blood flow during surgery by generating a low-frequency ultrasound signal and utilising the Doppler effect. The Doppler effect is the change in frequency of a wave for an observer moving relative to its source, such as the way in which the noise of a siren changes when it passes by.
The new account is with a major, unnamed hospital in the Midwest of the country and is the first platform programme account the company has won in the Great Lakes region. The hospital has committed to ordering at least 65 probes per month in the initial implementation phase.
No financial details were disclosed.
"The US is an increasingly important market for us, and we are pleased to have this, the sixth account added to our US platform programme this year and the twelfth in total. Deltex Medical is making good progress towards our current goal of 30 US hospitals on its platform programme by mid-2016," said Chief Executive Ewan Phillips.
Shares in Deltex were up 3.3% to 5.55 pence on Wednesday morning.
