LONDON (Alliance News) - Palm oil project operator DekelOil Public Ltd on Wednesday said commercial production and sales of palm kernel oil and palm kernel cake have started at its project in Ivory Coast.
The production from its recently-constructed kernel crushing plant at the site will provide a significant new revenue stream for the Ayenouan project.
Production from the plant will be gradually increased towards the installed capacity of 60 tonnes per day over the next eight weeks, DekelOil said, with the plant to be fully operational ahead of the peak harvesting season in 2016.
"The KCP will materially increase both sales and profitability at our established Ayenouan palm oil project, and its completion therefore represents a strong value trigger," said DekelOil Executive Director Lincoln Moore.
Shares in DekelOil were up 3.1% to 1.082 pence on Wednesday.
