Dekel Agri-Vision Notes Milling Equipment Manufacturing Restart

12th May 2020 17:36

(Alliance News) - Dekel Agri-Vision PLC said Tuesday that manufacturing of milling equipment for the 10,00 tonnes per annum raw cashew nut processing project in Tiebissou, Cote d'Ivoire has recommenced.

Manufacturing by Italian manufacturer Oltremare had been suspended due to Covid-19 outbreak in Italy. Now delivery of the equipment is now expected to take place in four shipments starting in July.

Dekel Agri-Vision now expects the start of production at Tiebissou by up to three months from the original target date of January 2021.

"As operations at Tiebissou have continued during this period of global uncertainty, we are pleased to see that manufacturing of our milling equipment has recommenced, putting us back on track to achieve our aim of first production commencing during H1 2021," said Executive Director Lincoln Moore.

"This remains an exciting period for Dekel and the Tiebissou village and I look forward to providing further updates on progress made on the ground during the construction phase of what will be the company's second producing agriculture project in Cote d'Ivoire," said Moore added.

Shares in the agriculture firm closed 4.6% lower at 2.10 pence on Tuesday in London.
