Defenx COO Guido Branca Resigns As Company Requires "Different Skills"

15th Jun 2016 06:58

LONDON (Alliance News) - Mobile security software provider Defenx PLC on Wednesday said Chief Operating Officer Guido Branca is leaving the board with immediate effect "by mutual agreement" and to pursue other interests.

Branca will step down from the company at the end of August to help with the recruitment process for his successor and conduct a handover in the meantime.

Defenx said it believes that in order to take advantage of the significant growth opportunities available to the company since its admission to AIM, it now needs to add software channel sales experience to the executive team. It expects to announce an appointment in due course.

Branca's corporate and operational responsibilities will be undertaken by Chief Financial Officer Philipp Prince.

"The board and Guido recognise that the company now requires different skills to fully exploit its AIM admission and the many opportunities ahead. We wish Guido all the best in all his future endeavours," Chief Executive Andrea Stecconi said in a statement.

"I am assisting the board in recruiting an executive with relevant channel sales expertise for the benefit of all shareholders. I will remain with Defenx until the end of August 2016 to ensure a smooth transition. I will also remain a shareholder and wish the company all the best for the future," Branca said.
