DeepMatter To Develop Robotic Laboratory At Leeds University

12th Feb 2020 12:09

(Alliance News) - DeepMatter Group PLC said Wednesday it has commenced a project with University of Leeds to integrate its DigitalGlassware technology platform within the Institute of Process Research & Development laboratories.

The DigitalGlassware platform is an integrated software, hardware and machine learning enabled platform that enables chemists to share the details of their experiments from anywhere and in real-time.

The AIM-listed software company said the project is a step in the development of a robotic laboratory, where chemicals will be synthesized with the assistance of artificial intelligence systems.

DeepMatter said it will work together with Leeds University Associate Professor Richard Bourne to expand its platform to integrate with third-party laboratory and analytical equipment.

"As a result, DigitalGlassware will be capable of full integration across the breadth of third-party hardware required by the modern process development lab," the company said.

Mark Warne, chief executive of the company, said: "This is another major step forward for the capabilities of DigitalGlassware, significantly increasing its applicability to the process chemistry industry."

DeepMatter shares were untraded at 2.10 pence each on Wednesday.
