De La Rue Makes Rob Harding Permanent Chief Financial Officer

1st Oct 2020 10:20

(Alliance News) - Bank note printer De La Rue PLC on Thursday said Rob Harding will assume the role of chief financial officer on a permanent basis and will join the company's board as executive director with immediate effect.

Harding - a chartered accountant - joined De La Rue as interim finance head in March 2020 after the company in January had announced the departure of then CFO Helen Willis. Prior to joining De La Rue he was interim CFO of Co-op Insurance, a unit of Co-operative Group.

Chair Kevin Loosemore said: "Rob's wide ranging experience in finance within a number of large professional and financial businesses together with his depth of turnaround experience will be invaluable to us as we execute our plans and re-shape our business to meet both the short-term and long-term challenges we face as a company."

Shares in De La Rue were up 1.2% at 131.60 pence each in London on Thursday morning.
