DDD Group Renews Samsung 3D Technology Chip Licence Deal

LONDON (Alliance News) - Imaging and 3D products company DDD Group PLC on Wednesday said it has renewed its licence deal with South Korean electronics group Samsung Electronics Co Ltd.

DDD said the 3D video processing chip technology licence agreement has been renewed to the end of 2016.

No financial details were disclosed.

"We are pleased that Samsung will continue to power its Smart TVs with our TriDef 3D conversion solutions for the seventh consecutive year. Samsung has been a TriDef 3D licensee since pioneering the 3D TV market in 2010 and continues to provide diverse 3D content on their range of 3D TVs," said DDD Chief Executive Chris Yewdall.

DDD shares were up 9.1% to 3.00 pence on Wednesday, one of the best performers in the AIM All-Share.
