LONDON (Alliance News) - Imaging and 3D technology company DDD Group PLC on Thursday said it has secured a new patent in the US covering high dynamic-range video signal coding and rendering.
The patent, filed in February 2015, covers the process of encoding and decoding video signals to allow this to be viewed on conventional and new, high-specification television screens.
"The latest patent further expands the licensing assets of the company," said DDD Chief Executive Chris Yewdall. He added HDR imaging will be an "important opportunity" in the television market.
DDD shares were untraded on Thursday, having last traded at 1.58 pence.
