daVictus Interim Loss Widens On Talks Regarding Potential Investments

24th Aug 2018 10:37

LONDON (Alliance News) - daVictus PLC on Friday said its loss widened moderately in the first six months of 2018, as it continues to seek investment opportunities.

The investment company reported a maiden income of GBP639 for the six month to the end of June, while pretax loss amounted to GBP58,099, up slightly from GBP54,010 posted for the same period a year prior.

During the period, the company said it was actively identifying acquisition opportunities with potential target companies in the food and beverages sector. However, none of them has met the necessary criteria for selection to-date, daVictus said.

It had GBP431,122 in cash at the end of the period, which daVictus said is sufficient to cover its general corporate expenses and pre-acquisition activities.

Looking forward, the company said it remains optimistic and intends to continue to identify targets for acquisition.

Shares in daVictus were untraded on Friday, last quoted at 11.00 pence each.
