21st Mar 2024 18:16

(Alliance News) - Jefferies International Ltd on Thursday said an investor plans to sell shares in Darktrace PLC worth around GBP80 million.

Shares in Darktrace, the Cambridge, England-headquartered cybersecurity company, closed up 1.3% at 461.00 pence each in London on Thursday. It has a market value of GBP3.21 billion.

Jefferies, a US investment bank, said KKR Dark Aggregator LP intends to place shares representing around 2.5% of the share capital of Darktrace.

At Thursday's closing price, this would value the sale at around GBP80.3 million.

The sale will be conducted via a secondary placing to institutional investors at a price to be determined through an accelerated bookbuild process.

The bookbuild process will commence with immediate effect.

Darktrace is not a party to the placing and will not receive any proceeds.

KKR Dark Aggregator LP, the US investment firm, has agreed to a lock-up period of 60 days for the remaining shares in Darktrace held by funds advised by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co LP and its affiliates.
