(Alliance News) - CVS Group PLC said Friday it has appointed Ben Jacklin as chief operating officer and Robin Alfonso as finance director with immediate effect.
Richard Connell, chair of the veterinary services company, said: "On behalf of the board, I am pleased to welcome both Ben and Robin to the CVS board as chief operating officer and finance director respectively."
"They bring complementary skills to the existing board, alongside those of Richard Fairman who became chief executive officer in November," Connell said.
The company said it is now conducting an initial evaluation with regard to appointing an additional independent non executive director to maintain appropriate balance on its Board, in Line with its adoption of the UK Corporate Governance Code.
In November, Simon Innes stepped down after 16 years as chief executive officer of CVS, and was succeeded by Fairman.
Meanwhile on Thursday, the company said that trading performance in the first four months of financial 2020 has been slightly ahead of management's expectations due to continuation of a positive trading momentum.
CVS shares were down 0.8% in London at 1,096.70 pence each on Friday.
