LONDON (Alliance News) - Property investor Custodian REIT PLC on Wednesday said it has acquired a new property in Birmingham for GBP6.7 million.
The company has bought Lancaster House, a 39,500 square foot office building in the centre of the Midlands city. The property is let to 15 tenants on a total passing rent of GBP505,752 per year, reflecting a net initial yield of 7.2%.
"We are delighted to have secured this recently refurbished office building in Birmingham city centre where the office market is resurgent and prospects for rental growth strong," said Richard Shepherd-Cross, the managing director of Custodian Capital Ltd, the discretionary investment manager of Custodian REIT.
Shares in Custodian were untraded early Wednesday, having last traded at 106.50 pence.
