LONDON (Alliance News) - Crusader Resources Ltd on Wednesday said it has finished comminution test work at Brazil's Borborema gold project, while it also has begun recommissioned test work at the site.
The comminution work sought to establish the physical properties of the ore, and Crusader said there will be "significant" savings in mill capital and power cost if it can remove mica from the ore at an early stage.
Head assays and investigation into how much mica is in the ore body is underway with 40 samples now completed.
As part of its bankable feasibility study for the project, Crusader has also started test work on the dry stacking of tailings with this including preliminary work on the filtration system.
The Borborema project is located in the province of the same name in north-eastern Brazil, and is 100% owned by Crusader Resources, which listed in London in mid-April.
Shares were untraded on Wednesday at 3.05 pence.
