Crossword Hires Advisory Board Chaired By Former Glaxo Security Head

LONDON (Alliance News) - Crossword Cybersecurity PLC on Tuesday said it has appointed a new advisory board that will be chaired by the former chief information security officer of GlaxoSmithKline PLC.

Crossword works with universities to find "promising cyber security intellectual property from research", which is then developed into commercial cyber security products and taken to market.

The new advisory board its intended to provide a range of perspectives on cyber security and to inform the company's strategy for product development.

Chairing the new advisory board is Robert Coles, previously chief information security officer at both GlaxoSmithKline and the NHS.

Also on the board will be Nick Houghton, former chief of the defence staff of the British Armed Forces, and former UK government Chief Scientific Officer for National Security Nick Jennings.

Una-May O'Reilly, principal research scientist at the computer science & artificial intelligence lab of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, will also join the advisory board.

Crossword Chief Executive Tom Ilube said: "Crossword is exceptionally fortunate to be able to attract such a world class group of senior industry figures to our new advisory board. We have big plans for the future and being able to draw upon the guidance, advice and networks of our new advisors will be invaluable."

Shares in Crossword were up 3.8% at 379.00 pence on Tuesday.
