12th Nov 2019 17:45

(Alliance News) - Crest Nicholson Holdings PLC said on Tuesday the Chris Tinker, who recently served as interim chief executive officer, will step down after 31 years with the group.

The company said Tinker, who joined the housebuilder in 1988 and held a range of senior roles in the business, will retire from the board on December 31. He is currently chair of Major Projects & Strategic Partnerships.

Tinker acted at interim chief executive officer after Patrick Bergin stepped down in March, before being replaced by Peter Truscott in September. Truscott had been recruited from Galliford Try PLC, where he also had been CEO.

Truscott said Tuesday: "On behalf of the board I would like to thank Chris for his long and dedicated service to Crest Nicholson and his exceptional contribution as a business leader and board director."

Crest Nicholson shares closed 0.7% lower in London at 364.40 pence each on Tuesday.
