LONDON (Alliance News) - Credit Suisse AG on Tuesday confirmed media reports that Chief Executive Brady Dougan is to step down and will be replaced by Prudential PLC Chief Executive Tidjane Thiam.
Thiam will take over the role from Dougan, who steps down after eight years in the role, in June.
"With Tidjane Thiam, a strong and distinguished leader with an impressive track record in the global financial services industry will take the helm of our bank," said Urs Rohner, chairman of Credit Suisse's board of directors.
Thiam joined Prudential in 2008 as chief financial officer before becoming its chief executive a year later.
