LONDON (Alliance News) - Fresh meat and food-to-go retailer Crawshaw Group PLC on Friday said sales in the final months of 2015 rose sharply due to acquisitions, while like-for-like sales also ticked higher.
Crawshaw said its sales for the 15 weeks to January 3 rose 64% year-on-year, primarily as a result of the inclusion of the Gabbotts Farm butchers business it bought last year. Like-for-like sales were up 0.8% in the period and have increased 1.7% in its financial year to date.
The group anticipates its results for the year to the end of January will meet market expectations.
