(Alliance News) - Countrywide PLC announced on Wednesday the appointment of Amande Rendle as an independent non-executive director effective immediately.
In a statement, the property group said Rendle will also succeed Natalie Ceeney as a member of the audit & risk committee, allowing her to further develop her recently appointed role as chair of the remuneration committee.
Rendle has over 30 years of marketing and communications experience and is a non-executive director of Tesco Bank, the British Business Bank, and the Government Communications Service Ministerial Board. She is also deputy chair of Keep Britain Tidy.
Peter Long, executive chair of the company, said: "Rendle brings a wealth of experience from a business career that spans financial and professional services. Her particular experience in marketing and her broad commercial skills and experience will complement the board."
Countrywide shares closed down 3.5% in London at 4.75 pence each on Wednesday.
