LONDON (Alliance News) - Countrywide PLC said Thursday it issued a total of 1.40 billion shares after a placing and open offer.
Earlier this month, the estate agent announced a placing to raise GBP140 million with GBP111.4 million via placing of 1.11 billion shares and GBP28.6 million in an open offer of 285.6 million shares at 10 pence each.
The funds raised will go towards providing Countrywide with greater long-term certainty, flexibility, and a strengthened balance sheet, it said.
Countrywide shares were trading down 1.5% at 12.80 pence each.
