(Correcting that Dyson is a manufacturer of vacuum cleaners)
LONDON (Alliance News) - Mulberry Group PLC on Monday said it has appointed Neil Ritchie as group finance director with effect from May 16.
Current Finance Director Roger Mather will step down from the role at that date, but will remain available to support a smooth transition until the end of June, the luxury fashion house said.
Ritchie was most recently global commercial financial director at vacuum cleaner-maker Dyson, prior to which he held a variety of commercial and financial roles across the company's UK, Europe, North America and Asia businesses.
"We are delighted to welcome Neil to Mulberry. His experience in developing and managing international business with a leading, innovative British brand will be very valuable during this exciting period for Mulberry," Chief Executive Thierry Andretta said in a statement.
Shares in Mulberry were trading down 1.3% at 974.50 pence on Tuesday afternoon.
