LONDON (Alliance News) - Newly merged Dixons Carphone PLC Monday confirmed via its official Twitter feed that it has signed a new long term agreement with Vodafone Group PLC.
The agreement includes an enhanced distribution partnership, the company said, although it did not provide further details.
Earlier Monday Phones 4U Ltd said that Vodafone has opted not to renew their UK network agreement; the agreement will now be terminated in February 2015.
Dixons Retail PLC and Carphone Warehouse Group PLC completed their GBP3.6 billion merger in July to create the UK's biggest retailer of mobile phones and electrical goods.
Dixons Carphone shares were trading up 0.7% at 347.10 pence, and shares in Vodafone were trading up 0.1% at 206.97 pence Monday morning.
