LONDON (Alliance News) - Acta S.p.A, the clean energy products company, Tuesday said that it has signed a contract with a new customer to trial its telecommunications power application.
The company said that its Acta Power self-recharging back-up power system is to be placed on trial with a major mobile telecoms company, which it didn't name, at a telecommunications base station located in the Philippines.
The trial in the Philippines follows the announcement of trials with major mobile telecoms operators in Africa and Australian and a separate renewable energy storage trial in the UK.
It said that the new Philippine trial will be undertaken in partnership with technical support company Lead Core Technology Systems Inc.
It said that the trial unit is due to be shipped in October and will undergo initial testing on site for one month, prior to a two-month live trial at a grid-connected telecom base station.
Acta S.p.A shares were up 1.5% mid morning Tuesday at 8.5 pence per share.
