LONDON (Alliance News) - Corero Network Security PLC on Tuesday said it has secured an order for its SmartWall Threat Defense Systems and has opened a new research and development facility in the UK.
The network security company said the order for the SmartWall system was valued at more than USD0.5 million and has been made by an unnamed US internet service provider. It will see multiple SmartWall products deployed at three regional locations, with supporting SecureWatch Analytics services, for a 12-month period.
Corero also said it has opened a new research and development facility in Edinburgh, Scotland. The new site is operational and fully-integrated with its two US sites in Hudson and Cambridge, both in Massachusetts.
"We are pleased to have secured this significant customer contract which further validates the Corero SmartWall TDS offering for the service provider market, a strategic priority for Corero," said Corero Chief Executive Ashley Stephenson.
Corero shares were up 12% in early trade to 14.00 pence, one of the best performers in the AIM All-Share.
