Corero Network Security Wins SmartWall Deal With FTSE 100 Firm

2nd Oct 2015 06:49

LONDON (Alliance News) - Corero Network Security PLC on Friday said it has secured an order for its SmartWall Threat Defense System from an unnamed FTSE 100-listed company.

The network security company said the order, valued at USD700,000, will provide protection for the company's worldwide network.

"Recent high profile victims of DDoS attacks including the Royal Bank of Scotland, Carphone Warehouse and the National Crime Agency, are bringing the frequency and severity of DDoS attacks to the forefront," said Ashley Stephenson, Corero's chief executive.

"Eliminating this risk, and the significant reputational damage of such an attack, requires real-time DDoS detection and mitigation solutions such as Corero's SmartWall TDS," Stephenson added.
