Corero Network Security Receives USD500,000 Order For SmartWall System

2nd Jul 2018 10:25

LONDON (Alliance News) - Corero Network Security PLC said Monday it received a USD500,000 order for its SmartWall security system.

The order comes from an unnamed North American service provider and is for a year's worth of Corero's 100G SmartWall Threat Defense System.

This system includes monitoring services and protective devices to protects companies against distributed denial-of-service attacks, also known as DDoS attacks, on connections as fast as 100 gigabits per second.

DDoS attacks use multiple IP addresses to flood a company web servers and block access to the internet.

"We anticipate demand for our technology to accelerate during 2018 as we benefit from the combination of growth in adoption of faster 100 gigabits per second links," said Corero President Andrew Lloyd.

Shares in Corero were down 0.6% at 8.55 pence on Monday.
