(Alliance News) - Cyber security firm Corero Network Security PLC said Wednesday it secured new orders for its SmartWall Threat Defense System product.
Corero received the orders after a successful trial which demonstrated the value of combining Corero software with the MX Series router of resale partner Juniper Networks Inc, it said. The orders were from an unnamed S&P 500-listed US communication infrastructure firm and a large Japanese electronics firm.
In addition, Corero reported further sales of its 100 gigabits per second distributed denial of service protection solutions. The sales were secured from a new US regional internet service provider and an expanded order with a top 10 hosting provider, neither of which were named.
"We are delighted to announce over USD1 million of new orders and more importantly, to confirm encouraging sales progress from our strategic partnership with Juniper," Corero Chief Executive Officer Ashley Stephenson said.
"These wins further demonstrate the growing opportunity of 100Gbps DDoS protection solutions as customers expand their Internet connectivity, and further reinforces our view that the Juniper partnership has the potential to fuel significant contract momentum in the medium term", Stephenson added.
Shares in Corero were 7.9% higher at 3.29 pence in London on Wednesday.
