Coral Products Signs Plastic Box Contracts Worth GBP875,000

LONDON (Alliance News) - Plastics manufacturer Coral Products PLC Thursday said it signed a number of new contract for its containers and recycling boxes totalling worth GBP875,000.

The company said its food packaging subsidiary, Interpack, won four new contracts worth GBP725,000 from four new customers for ice cream containers and salad boxes.

The products will be manufactured at Coral's site in Haydock.

Coral has also signed a contract to supply Powys County Council in Wales with a number of recycling containers in a deal worth GBP150,000. The firm expects to deliver the boxes in April.

"We are aggressively seeking new business opportunities whilst at the same time maintaining existing business that has growth potential through providing excellent service to our customers," Chairman Joe Grimmond said in a statement.

"It is highly gratifying that our efforts are bearing good results and we look forward to further success," he added.

The stock was trading at 12.50 pence Thursday morning, up 0.38 pence or 3.1%.
