LONDON (Alliance News) - Conygar Investment Co on Wednesday said it had submitted a planning application for its development site in Leicestershire to build a Marks & Spencer PLC "Food Hall".
The property investment and development group said it has submitted the planning application for its development site at Nottingham Road, Ashby-de-la-Zouch to Leicestershire County Council. The application is for the building of a Marks & Spencer "Food Hall" measuring around 11,000 square feet with associated parking, services and landscaping.
Conygar said it has a further two acres available for development and is in discussions with potential occupiers for the remaining land.
Civil engineering firm Jones Brothers Civil Engineering Co Ltd is currently at the site constructing the spine road and utility services that will open the site up for future development. These works are due to complete this week, the group added.
"We are pleased to announce the submission of this planning application for our gateway site in Ashby and hope to be on site later this year," Chief Executive Robert Ware said.
Shares in Conygar were untraded on Wednesday, having last traded at 159.00 pence.
