LONDON (Alliance News) - Alcohol wholesaler Conviviality PLC on Monday said it has appointed Jennifer Laing as a non-executive director and Mark Alwyn as managing director of Conviviality Direct.
Laing is currently a non-executive director at London-listed Premier Foods PLC - the company which makes Bisto gravy and Mr Kipling cakes - and last Friday retired from the board of hotel company InterContinental Hotels Group PLC where she was also a non-executive director.
"Jennifer's in-depth knowledge of branding, marketing and advertising, as well as her experience on the board of a global hotel group with a large franchisee base, further diversifies the board's skill-set. We look forward to her insight as we continue to grow both our franchisee network and our on-trade business, and become a more valuable partner to our suppliers in promoting their brands across the UK," Chairman David Adams said in a statement.
Alwyn joined Conviviality in January as managing director of the recently-acquired Matthew Clark business. Prior to this, he held senior positions at various companies in the food and drinks industry including at convenience store operator Booker Group PLC.
"Mark has been a great addition to the management team since he joined Conviviality in January 2016 and I look forward to continuing to benefit from his experience as the Group develops," Adams said.
