ConvaTec Shareholder Rebel Over Remuneration Report At General Meeting

LONDON (Alliance News) - ConvaTec Group PLC said 38% of votes at its annual general meeting were against the approval of the directors' remuneration report and said it has begun a dialogue to discuss concerns.

"Naturally, the board is disappointed with the lower level of support for the directors' remuneration report," the medical products and technologies company said.

"We have engaged in a dialogue with a number of shareholders and proxy advisors to discuss their questions and concerns," ConvaTec added.

The company will put a new remuneration policy to shareholders at its next AGM in May 2020 and will "undertake a comprehensive consultation with shareholders" in order to take their views into consideration for ant amendments.

Shares in ConvaTec closed up 0.6% at 144.40 pence on Thursday.
