LONDON (Alliance News) - Drug delivery devices manufacturer Consort Medical PLC said Tuesday it has appointed Chris Brinsmead as non-executive director and chairman designate of the company.
Brinsmead will join the company in February 2019 and will replace Peter Fellner as chairman at the end of April, when the latter will step down from the board.
The company said Brimsmead has worked in the global pharmaceutical sector for "over 30 years", being chairman of AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals UK PLC, President of AstraZeneca UK & Ireland and President of the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry.
Currently, Brinsmead covers the roles of senior independent non-executive director of UDG Healthcare PLC and non-executive director of Collagen Solutions PLC and The Wesleyan Assurance Society.
Consort shares were trading down 1.9% at 1,082.0 pence each.
