LONDON (Alliance News) - Connemara Mining Co PLC on Tuesday said it has been granted two prospecting licences in County Court in the Republic of Ireland.
The licences, PL 4504 and PL 4505, are thought to be prospective for base metals, and the ground is around the former Ladyswell Barite mine, which operated until the 1980s.
Connemara will be looking for zinc, lead, silver and copper potential at the licences.
"While our current focus is on our gold/silver licences in Donegal, we keep a watchful eye on good base-metal ground coming available. These two licences in Cork are high on our list of priority ground," said Connemara Chairman John Teeling.
Shares in Connemara were flat at 2.00 pence on Tuesday.
