LONDON (Alliance News) - Connemara Mining Company PLC Monday said it has been awarded 10 gold, silver and base-metals prospecting licences in the Stranorlar region of Donegal, Ireland.
The zinc and gold exploratory mining company with operations in Ireland said that historical records of the Donegal area show certain anomalies consistent with gold, while the geology shares similarities with the major gold discoveries by Dalradian Resources and others in Tyrone, Northern Ireland.
The company said it would focus the majority of its operations on the search for gold in the prospects.
Connemara shares were up 1.0% to 4.93 pence Monday.
