LONDON (Alliance News) - Distribution business Connect Group PLC on Wednesday said its revenue increased over the festive period and said it has signed up online fashion retailer ASOS PLC for its click and collect service.
Connect said its overall performance in the 19 weeks to January 9 was in line with its expectations, with total revenue up 6.4% year-on-year, with benefits derived from the contribution from its parcel freight division following the acquisition of Tufnells, the business-to-business delivery service it bought in December 2014.
The company said it has seen good progress on its growth plans, with its Pass My Parcel click and collect service performing very well over the peak Christmas period and expansion plans for the service on track.
Connect also said it has signed up ASOS, the AIM-listed online fashion retailer, as its second customer for the Pass My Parcel service, having contracted Amazon.com Inc, the online retail giant, in 2014.
Connect shares were down 0.3% to 166.00 pence.
