LONDON (Alliance News) - Condor Gold PLC Monday said it has completed metallurgical testwork as part of its pre-feasibility study in Central America.
The gold exploration company, with operations in Nicaragua said the metallurgical testwork showed good grades at its La India Project ranging from 90-92% gold recoveries at its La India vein and 94-95% gold recoveries at its America vein.
As a result of the positive tests, SRK Consulting Inc., which carried out the testwork, recommended that gold mineralised ore at the site can be processed by industry standard whole-ore cyanidation system rather than a more expensive grind finer system.
The company said the additional recovery would likely not justify the higher additional cost of a grind finer and that this system would not provide any higher gold recovery than could be achieved by whole-ore cyanidation.
Condor Gold shares were down 2.0% to 128.40 pence Monday.
