LONDON (Alliance News) - Concepta PLC on Tuesday said its MyLotus product is gathering momentum and demand is set to continue growing.
Concepta, which makes self-testing products aimed at women's fertility and hormone health, said it has received news of first pregnancies discovered using its myLotus monitor and app. MyLotus monitors hormone changes to help women better understand fertility.
Chair Matthew Walls said: "We are extremely proud and delighted for our first user pregnancies. We have waited patiently for our pregnancies to sufficiently progress before we released this sensitive and important news.
"We understand the difficulties and emotions involved in trying to conceive and look forward to supporting all our users on their pregnancy journey."
The announcement was also noted by Mercia Technologies PLC, which has a 22% stake in Concepta.
In a separate announcement, Concepta released 2018 results, showing its pretax loss widened slightly to GBP2.9 million from GBP2.4 million. Revenue was minimal, from GBP108,115 a year before.
The plan going ahead will be to develop sales channels in the UK, to later roll into the EU, and continue with MyLotus development.
"Based on our increasing pregnancies and user testimonials, we expect to raise the profile of myLotus over the coming year and take advantage of our new technology innovation and industry know-how to drive our growth strategy," added Walls.
Concepta shares were 7.0% higher on Tuesday at a price of 3.64 pence each.
