LONDON (Alliance News) - Telecommunications and IT services company Coms PLC said Monday that its trading division had been awarded the International Organisation for Standardisation's ISO 9001:2008 certification.
The certification is attributed to companies that meet certain quality standards set by the ISO, with ISO 9000 specifically assessing quality management systems. A company applies for the certification and is then audited by a third party. Coms was awarded the certification by BSI Assurance UK Limited, part of the British Standards Institution.
"We are delighted that we have been awarded this prestigious accolade," said Chief Executive Officer David Breith in a statement. "This is another step towards building a bigger, more effective business."
Shares in Coms were trading up 3.3% at 4.08 pence Monday morning.
