Compass Group Expects Full-year Revenue Growth Of Over 4%

CHERTSEY (Alliance News) - Compass Group PLC(CPG.L), a food and support services company, Thursday, said it expects organic revenue growth for the full year to be just over 4 percent, driven by new business wins, good retention rates and modest inflationary price increases. Revenue growth including the contributions from acquisitions is expected to be about 4.5 percent. The group said it expects operating margin for the year to be over 7 percent, and 20 basis points higher than last year.

For the year, the company expects organic revenue growth in North America to be around 7.5 percent and the operating margin to improve by 10 basis points. Southern Europe's like for like volumes continue to be impacted by the challenging economic conditions. Overall, in Europe and Japan, the company expects organic revenue growth to decrease by around 3 percent.

In the fast growing and emerging markets, it expects organic revenue growth for the full year to be around 10 percent, driven by both new business wins and like for like revenue growth. However, the margin is expected to decline by around 20 basis points from last year.
