Compass Chair Paul Walsh To Step Down After Six Years In Role

6th Jan 2020 08:01

(Alliance News) - Compass Group PLC on Monday said Chair Paul Walsh will resign from his role to focus on other business interests.

Walsh was appointed chair of the FTSE 100-listed catering firm in 2014. He will remain in his role until a replacement is found, but will not seek re-election at the group's 2021 annual general meeting. Senior Independent Director John Bason will lead the search for a successor.

"It has been a privilege to serve for the last six years as chair of Compass, which is a world-class business and a true British success story on the global stage. We have a strong and well-established chief executive in place and I will work to ensure a seamless transition to my successor," Walsh said.
