(Alliance News) - Codemasters Group Holdings PLC on Friday confirmed the release of GRID racing game, featuring 104 career events across 12 race locations.
The video game developer said the game includes drivers such as Fernando Alonso and his e-sports team, FA Racing Logitech G and the return of the revered Ravenwest Motorsport.
As from Friday, Codemasters said GRID is available on the Sony Corp's PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system and the Microsoft Corp's Xbox One family of devices. The game will also be released on Google's cloud gaming service Stadia. Google is a part of Alphabet Inc.
"We are delighted to be re-launching the franchise for the first time since 2014 and for the first time on this generation of Sony and Microsoft consoles. We are also extremely pleased that the game has been selected as a launch title on Google Stadia which will be available to millions of new consumers later this year," said Codemasters Chief Executive Frank Sagnier.
He added: "We are incredibly proud of the game we have created and are thrilled that it is finally available to players around the world."
Codemasters shares were trading 1.4% higher in London at 216.00 pence each on Friday.
