Cobra Resources Begins Stage Two On Widunna Project Exploration

17th Mar 2020 17:32

(Alliance News) - Cobra Resources PLC on Tuesday said it has begun the second stage of exploration work at the Wudinna gold project in South Australia.

Cobra announced the programme in November. Stage one saw it set up "improved pathfinders" to possible gold.

Stage two, which will see Cobra prioritise drilling targets at the Barns, Baggy Green, or White Tank prospects, has now begun. The third stage will involve finding drilling targets at new areas at Wudinna.

Some 552 soil samples have now been sent to the laboratory for testing, and field activity is to begin on Wednesday for 10 days. Cobra will collect 238 new soil samples.

Managing Director Craig Moulton said: "The soil data being collected over the next 10 days will provide a new level of confidence in in our drill targeting of brownfields resources.

"I am particularly excited about the new Clarke prospect which has already demonstrated high-grade gold potential outside of the existing resource."
